HOW WE STARTED
Starting 1987 we started the company Auto Indulgence with Specialty Lighting, after market auto-parts, signs and vehicle graphics; mostly going to events selling our products and installing local. Pierre Hoffmann started in his garage selling and installing stereos and alarms to co-workers and friends. The word got out of his dedication to providing good service and workmanship, soon he was not only selling and installing products, he soon started a mail order business as well.
Working at the Marriott Hotel in Torrance for about 8 years and in his last 6 as the Room Service Manager.
Pierre was told in 1990 that he would soon be laid off, as the company was cutting back. He was working on the side with his ventures in business and this was his chance to go on his own and within 8 months he opened his first retail shop in Lomita in 1991. Pierre soon made Auto Indulgence a household name in the automotive industry. Being featured Wall Street Journal in our involvement with NEON for cars and many other magazines around the world.
Supplied the Street Glow under car lighting for the movie “The Fast and the Furious”, and for 2 Fast 2 Furious, Monster Garage (4 shows), Pimp your Ride, Honda Civic Nation, GMC, Knight Rider 2008 TV Show and Movie. Doing vehicle graphics for Pepsi, HBO, Scion, Jada Toys and creating them into toy cars, LA Auto show project vehicles, Mattel and more.
He created a mobile retail shop and opened up at many shows creating a need to return to his booth twice in the same show. He would sell custom made stickers, customers would have to return in a hour to pick-up thus creating that he always had people at his booth and creating interest.
In 2004 we purchased The California Truck Jamboree (& VW Jamboree) events company, increasing numbers by 400% from past owners in our first year. Featured on ESPN 2' Truck Stop, Steel Dreams, FOX 11 news, KTLA, Truck Jam all tricked out DVD, Jada Toys best of show toy truck winner made into a toy.
